Christina and Phillips Classy Wedding of Lavender Elegance

Bride Christina envisioned her wedding to be pure romance and elegance with a bit of family tradition sprinkled throughout.  We began with her beautiful wedding gown by Ivory and White bridal salon in Crestline Alabama

Christina's bridal bouquet was compiled of whites, creams and hues of purples and lavenders

Taking in a sweet moment with her groom

Bridesmaids dressed in gorgeous lavender carry bouquets of creams, Ivory and purples with a touch of greenery to compliment the bride's color scheme

Christina and Phillip enjoy a moment alone in the beautiful landscape of Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa

Surrounded in prayer by her bridesmaids and flower girls.  One of my most favorite moments of a wedding day

Beautiful pew markers of antique roses and pops of purple

Tightly packed wreaths of roses and hydrangea bring more color to the church as guests arrive

Guest book table awaits at the reception site

Over 40 tables of both rounds and squares were dressed in luxurious linens of Champagne toned twist and Ivory Cream Damask.  Surrounding each table were mahogany chiavari chairs with ivory cushioned seats.  Several different heights and textures made up each centerpiece creating colors of interest throughout this elegant reception ballroom with candlelight on each of the guest tables.

Abstract lighting designs of purples and lavenders reflect on the walls adding ambiance and color to the elegant ballroom

This was the absolute show stopper of the night.....  Bride Christina envisioned a display for her cake that has never been done before....... at least has never been done that I have seen or accomplished... and the result was more spectacular than even I could have ever imagined.  We set this six layer cake a top a silver cake stand, sitting on a glass base surrounded by gorgeous florals and suspended 12 feet from a large iron pergola.  This cake of fondant appliques weighed well over 100 lbs and we actually added another chain to make sure the cake was secure.  It was definitely a swing that this cake is sitting on and it did have movement.  One of the many obstacles, as a wedding planner, I had to make sure came through without fail.  This beautiful display was made possible by many design team members led by Andy Hopper of KG Designs with Kathy G & Company and this gorgeous wedding cake was created by Jan O'Donnell of Cakes By Jan in Birmingham Alabama

Another look at this beautiful cake display

Usually a North East tradition, Christina and Phillip entered their reception under a tunnel of "love" from their bridal party joining hands above them.

Beautiful bridesmaids look on as Christina and Phillip share their first dance together

Couldn't resist one more peak at this magnificent ballroom and cake display

A first dance for this brand new married couple

A heartfelt toast from Father of the Bride as Christina and Phillip look on with emotion

The bride and groom having an absolute fabulous time at their wedding..... exactly what I love to see as their wedding planner!!

Another exciting element to this wedding was a surprise from the bride to her groom of what we call a "same day edit".  This was accomplished by our fabulous videography team John and Angela Deaver of Main Street Productions and took many many weeks/months of planning the time line to allow enough time to capture key moments during the day and also allow enough time for the team to edit as they shoot the footage, put it all together with music and have it shown to the groom and all the guests shortly after the cutting of the cake.  This was another huge task but was pulled off without a hitch and so exciting, not only for Christina and Phillip and all of their guests, but also for our team of wedding professionals who worked together beautifully to make it all happen on time and on cue.  It was absolutely magical!!

Excited to throw her bouquet to the next bride to be!!

.......And bride Christina's sister Stephanie caught the bouquet!   Stephanie was married the very next month!

A fantastic send off for this beautiful couple on their most spectacular wedding day!

An ending to a very happy day for Christina and Phillip!
